We've added two more options to our list of quickstart templates.
What's a quickstart template?
Our quickstart is a way to kick start new projects with Atama Composer. Composable architectures have a lot of moving pieces. It can take some time to connect the dots. You need to create and configure integrations with 3rd party services, connect them to your front end components, and get everything deployed in a scalable infrastructure.
Our quickstart for Atama Composer handles all of this for you. At the heart of it is the quickstart template. It defines what kind of project you're creating. For example, what 3rd party services (CMS, Commerce, etc.) are included and what front end framework should be used.
Alright, so what are the templates?
Here are the templates we have as of today:
Commerce Landing Page
As the name implies, marketers can create landing pages with content being provided by Contentful. The commerce functionality (product listing + detail pages, cart, checkout, etc.) is provided by Shopify and the front end integrates with it outside of Atama.
Providers: Contentful
Frontend: Hydrogen
Full Commerce
The difference for this template compared to the "Commerce Landing Page" template is that the commerce functionality (product listing + detail pages, cart, etc.) is using business capabilities managed in Atama. That level of abstraction can come in handy later when you want to test and migrate to use a different commerce provider.
This template shows the value of Atama Composer the best.
Providers: Contentful, Shopify
Frontend: Remix
Marketing Landing Page
As the name implies, marketers can create landing pages with content being provided by Contentful.
Providers: Contentful
Frontend: Next.js
These are just starting points so you can get a better feel for Atama Composer. All templates come with a handful of basic React components. You can easily add additional components, services, and front ends (channels) later.
